Default Door lock rods vibrate like crazy

As the title says... Both the driver and passenger side rods vibrate and make a lot of noise when I'm driving down the road. Has anyone else ran into this issue? Thoughts? Solution?

Have they always done this? Have you recently worked on the doors or the locks that could cause this? Maybe try and see why they are so loose and it may be a simple fix. If all looks ok, try and wrap the rods with something where they are hitting to try and dampen the noise. Typically, they shouldn't be that loose.

I worked on the driver's side door. I put it a new latch, but I replaced the rod retainer with a new one, and it is installed properly.

What, a little guy like this?

Does the whole car vibrate? It seems strange that the rods would vibrate alone.

Nothing else, just the rods.

I have Stainless inserts but I guess these clip inside the stainless inserts?:

or

And can someone tell me why I can purchase 1 for 9 bucks or 2 for 3 bucks?

And now I'm confused. Is my standard interior supposed to have the stainless inserts or should my doors have plastic-only inserts?

No idea on the price difference. For a standard interior, you're supposed to have the plastic ones, but the stainless ones are so much nicer with the felt lining and all.

It seems that a felt-lined insert isn't available for my appliction; just the plastic bit.
