Default Retractable 3 point seat belt installation

I bought a set of 3 point retractable seat belts for the 66 Mustang/SVO 2.3 turbo car. The directions that came with them do not tell you much of anything. So there is what I came up with.

First if your car has interior in it take off the rear side panels and look for the existing hole just below the screw hole for the stainless end cap.

Then take a piece of paper and place it over both the screw hole and the larger hole. With the pencil poke into the screw hole. Then with the pencil trace over the hole so you can see where the larger hole is.

Then cut out the hole that you just traced over in on the paper.

Put the side panels back on and trasfer the hole onto the side panels. But first make sure the hole is low enough is the stainless end gap does not interfere with the hole. You might have to lower the hole some like I did.

After you make it on the side panel, take a 3/4 inch drill or what I use a 3/4 inch spot weld drill and drill it out.
http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/h...CN11511117.jpg

Since I could not get my hand in there to hold the nut and a washer. I cut a piece of 1/8 steel for more support. I drilled a 3/4 inch hole in the steel piece for the nut to fit.

Then I pressed in the nut into the hole.

Then tack welded the nut to the piece of 1/8 inch steel. It would not fit in there any other way.

Since you can not get your hand in there, I tied a piece of wire around the nut so I could get it behind the hole.
http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/h...CN11601124.jpg

Once behind the hole I took a longer bolt and started it in the nut to give me something to hold onto while I tack welded it into place.
http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/h...CN11621125.jpg

Then I grinded the weld down flush.
http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/h...CN11641126.jpg

Then painted it so not to rust later.
http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/h...CN11651127.jpg

Put the panel back on.
http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/h...CN11681129.jpg

Now for the rear floor mount. I bent mine so I could mount it closer to the side panel.
http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/h...CN11701130.jpg

I place mine 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 inches away from where the floor pan lifts up.
http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/h...CN11731131.jpg

Then bolt the seat belt retractor in place and bolt the upper bolt into the nut/washer you just welded in place. But be careful and put a small sleeve around the bolt so you do not dent the back side where your door shuts. There is not much room behind the nut/washer.

I did not put my side panels on because I have not put the new interior on it yet. I just put the seat belt on so you could see what it looks like. The rest is easy just bolt the front part into the existing seat belt holes.
There are other way you can do this but this is what I came up with! I already put my new headliner in and did not what to remove it to put the upper seat belt harness location up there.
