1967 Suspension
My folks have a 67 convertable with a 289, and I'm looking at replacing what is likely the original suspension. Are there any on-line manuels to look at, or complications to look out for? Where is a good place to get parts? Nothing fancy, just an OEM set up. Thanks in advance for any help!

There is more stuff to read than you've got mileniums to read it. Mustang Monthly has done articles on this, as well as all the rest of the Ford rags.
If you do a google search on "Mustang Suspension" you will get all kinds of information and places to buy stuff. Watch out for some of the stuff on ebay and some of the cheaper kits. They are cheaper because they use thinner gauge steel, and cheaper rubber bushings.
Something you really ought to think about though is getting the graphite impregnated poly bushings, or at least updated grease-able poly bushings ( you need to use the grease they recommend though!).
One other thought, is the "Shelby drop" this really does enhance the handling at no cost to ride quality, tire wear (actually should be better), or your pocket. It will make the car a safer more enjoyable ride.
For safety, use a spring compressor, yes it can be done without one, but one mistake and kiss your hands or other body parts goodbye!

RE: 1967 Suspension
The first purchase should be a shop manual for that 67 Vert. You can get one HERE There is a sticky posted at the top of where to find parts, and some of our sponsors for this forun have suspension parts. You didn't mention anything about the brakes you have on it. If they are disk brakes (which was an option in 67) then all you will need to replace are the suspension parts. But, if it is drum brakes, then while you have the whole front end torn apart, you may as well upgrade to disks. And, yes be very careful when removing that coil spring. Use the best compressor you can buy.
