Default new wheels are in!

the new wheels are on, well on the rear anyway. i need spacers for the front. here are some pics. i will also include some progress on the engine bay. the rear wheels are 18x9.5 with a 6.0 b/s. the tires are a 275x40x18.

one question though, when installed, i noticed the diff was not centered under the car. i have about 1/2 in difference between the two sides. is this typical? i did not notice this with the smaller wheels and tires. i double checked the wheels, they are fine.

Yes I have found it to be typical to have the rear not quite centered (or at least to have the way the sheetmetal is hung on the car to make it appear it that way

Normally not very into newer wheels on the older mustangs but those look pretty sick. How much did you get them for?

i cant wait to see it all together either. i think the rear will drop some once the engine / tranny and interior are back in. glad to hear about the rearend not being perfect. i paid $575 for the wheels, lugs and locks delivered.

You may be able to recenter the rear end a little, depending on how tight the spring plate pins line up with the springs. There may be up to 1/2" of movement opportunity.

i will check into sliding the rear over some. i have also purchased a 9in rear. its out of a truck so it will need some mods. but for $100, i couldnt pass it up. i can live with the 8in being off for awhile until i get the 9 going, plus i can make sure the thing is centered.
