Default ADvance auto parts

[:@][:@][:@] I ordered my FlameThrower 2 coil fro the Advance Auto parts website, i dont recommend them for anything. They sent me the Flamethrower 1. Which isn't near as good as the 2. Im taking it to the nearest store and getting my money back.

As you should. I try to stay out of places like them and Autozone. They don't hire the sharpest knives in the drawer as clerks.

Seems like a pretty easy mistake to make actually. I mean, it's not as if they sent you a transmission instead of a coil! Why didn't you use a Mustang parts vendor?

They are like pretty much any other parts store I think. It depends on who waits on you. I try to go there since there is one a couple of blocks away. I recently picked up a power door lock actuator for my 92 GT which I think was either 62 or 72 incl tax before I found much better prices on line at places like 50resto. Live & learn!

I was trying to order a Ford 4300 carb for my 73 Clev. from Advance. Since I didn't have the orig carb or tag, I couldn't take it it so thow them exactly what was needed. They kept wanting to sell me a square bore & not a spread bore. I told them what it needed & they said I didn't have the correct intake. I needed the square bore. Well that was a waste of time. They did try ordering what they "thought" was it. Thats when I made the mistake of putting on an Edlbrock 750 before going to Pony Carbs & getting the correct 4300 unit. But that's another story...

Well, it's ok now. I took it to one of the stores and they gave me my money back. Im ordering it from NPD. They have it pretty cheap.
I was going to order it from yearone with the pertronix but they wanted $50 for it. SO buying it from NPD will save me.......about $10.

Just curious V-Fast. Why did you order through Advance, and not a mustang supplier? Especially ones who advertise here to support this site.
