Default Jack Stands

Almost everyone I speak with has a different place they like to place their jack stands when working under the car.

Where do you place yours and why?

Does anyone actually know where ford intended the stands to be placed?

I put them on the front frame rails and on the rear axle. Convenient and stable.

And make sure they are good jack stands the wider the base on them the better.

A little extra blocking for safety is always a good idea too.

Thats how I have mine on jackstands. Sometimes I will double up the jackstands on the front if I hvae to be under the car. By this I mean one acts a safety if something happens to the other stand. I place them close to being side by side or inline.

+1 on added blocking

Where is the best place to put jack stands on the rear of the car when dropping the axle and springs down?
