Default Tranny fluid

Honestly, How much better is Royal Purple, Lucas Oil and B&M Trick Shift Fluid compared to your normal F Trans fluid?

For someone not racing with a mild built engine and tranny is it even worth the extra money and would you even notice a difference with shifting in an automatic?

What Brands do you guys like and use?

i take it by "mild built engine and tranny" you mean the entire trans has been torn down and rebuilt with new parts? if not you want to run the ol FA fluid.

i cant remember if he has trans fliuid or not but check out

www.bobistheoilguy.com

he has TONS of info on regular engine oil. if trans fluid is like engine oils theres only about 4-5 actual companies who manufacture oil and just relabel

actually heres the section of the forum with trans fluid

No, you won't notice the differance. Save your money and use a quality Type F fluid.

Well, Royal Purple isn't even recomended for use in transmissions that require type-F fluid. B&M trick shift is nothing more than relabled, and dyed type-F anyway. As far as Lucas...I never really like that stuff to begin with.

All I can say, is I don't buy into all that crap. It just sounds like snake oil to me. I always run more or less conventional fluids.

If you go to http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/, you should be able to see whats wrong with Lucas.
