Default got new 4-bbl and intake manny :D

got a new 600cfm endurashine 4 barrel and a nascar certified endurashine intake manifold ....so now to get a new air filter/cleaner i was thinking of getting a fly eye style...but i heard that these are lower performence and slow down air flow.....does this look like a good filter???http://www.parts123.com/parts123/yb....0016e........i kind of wanted a smaller filter to show off the endurashine because i love making peope go blind with all the chrome/polished parts

by fly eye style do you mean the wire mesh edelbrock one with the foam. I had one, one backfire and it melted the foam which made a mess of my carb. inside and out. the link you posted didn't work for me.

Yeah, don't touch those foam Edelbrock filters. Not only are they a disaster during backfires, they don't filter for crap either.

When it comes to filters, bigger is better. A smaller filter will have less surface area, which means less airflow. A 14" filter with a 2 or 3" filter (depending on what you can fit under your hood) should work fine. If you want to show the carb off during a show, pull the air cleaner and use a plastic carburetor hat (I think summit has them) to keep stuff from falling down the carb.

a cleaner for height issues or just a cool cleaner? because those oval ones always look awesome ive always wanted one but 180 for a freakin air cleaner is a bit pricey

they also have those ones with a vent on top also those are cool if you just are going for a filter look
