Default racing seat belt

i want to use the racing style seat belts(straps over both shoulders) in the stang, i am assuming you have to have the aftermarket seats, is that right?

You need a roll cage or a harness bar to mouth the shoulder straps on.But a 5 point harness its not street legal so unless your going to race the car and its fast enough to need them.I would just get a 3 point they are safe and easy to put in.

My Dad does track days and we put in a 4 point harness in his practice car. We mounted the shoulder strap to the existing rear center seat belt mount. It was a 4 point seat belt, but the shoulder belt mounted in one hole then split in a V to go around your neck.

yeah, you can do what dano did, just watch out for the shoulder straps to slip off if their not tight if you use the stock buckets.. preferably what you want is a cross brace about evenish with your shoulder height to mount the belts to. but if its just a street car i think youll be fine

and no need for a 5 point on the street

i know i dont need them, i just like the way they look, and not having an airbag, col steering, etc makes me kind of nervous. so can u guys go into detail or get pics of the harness on a reg seat with no rollbar?

There not illegal, just not OEM legal. Mine are certified and can be won in court. I have only once been asked about them and are safer then the factory ones.
