I am one with the redundant question about these wheels. I have seen 1 1/4 and then some saying 1 1/2 on front. I plan on ordering next week so if anyone can say with any certainty I would appreciate it. I have read that on one application the 1 1/4 was very close to the A arm. Was it so close that you wouldnt risk it?

I believe you are correct. 05-up wheels have a greater backspacing than the older 94-04 wheels so they require larger spacers.

Deviousfred is RIGHT!!!! I have 07' GT wheels on mine and you NEED 1.5" in the front and 1" on the back. I tried the kits for 99-04 and they have less offset than the 05+. Plus the fact that the 07 has 235-55x17 tires, they are a little taller. I had to cut the front lips and haven't figured out which flair I need to do. Sure does look and handle a LOT better though.

Here are some 17 inch Bullitt wheels that are made for the '66. No spacers required. You need to run 235-45-17 tires so you will not have a rub issue with the front wheels. Also, expect reduced ride quality with these tires.....size does matter! Ed

Check Ebay for bolt on adapters.
Also, measure the clearance between your rear tires and the leaf springs on the inside and the fender on the outside. You may be surprized...

I got the spacers at:

If I would have got the 45 series tires instead of the factory 55 series, I think it would have worked. You might NOT have to cut the fenders cuz mine has the Shelby drop and the front coils were cut to even lower it more. I think its about 3" total that we got. When I had the long tube headers on, going over speed bumps, the headers would scrap on the bumps and raise the car up!!!!

OH, the reason I went with these guys. They make them out of billet 6061. NEVER run cast junk! Those break. I also used red locktite on the stud from the car to spacer.

Agreed on the 6061 vs. cast.
Also, 55s are so last millenia...
