I'm using the stock linkage with my Edelbrock. It works, but not well. I'm going to convert to a nicer heim-joint linkage like the one in Gary's link. I've got most of the pieces, I just need to track down some of those insulated washers.

Any hardware store should have them. They're called Heim joints, or 'spherical rod ends.'

I am having trouble finding them also, i know what they are called I just don't know where to look in the stores (as in an application) I asked the guys at home depot and ace hardware and both of them had confused looks on their faces and instantly swore that they didn't have any (not wanting to admit they don't know what a spherical rod end is)

Is there a particular part number that I can ask for at a local hardware store, or at least the name of a hardware store that you know will have some of these rod ends (Lowes, Home Depot, Ace, etc...) and in what department (hardware, mowers, plumbing, etc...)?

Lowes or Home depot does not carry them, but NAPA does. Napa has all sizes.
