Default update on my 69 vert.

here is a little update on my winter project. i have installed the motor and an aod tranny (both rebuilt and a shift kit in the tranny). the sound/heat shield is in as well as the new carpet. i have fiero seats and covers coming that will match the factory material and patern. i have also gone with the mach 1 treatment on the hood along with the head light buckets and a hood tach.

here are a few pics.

Nice color.
The speakers that sit in the bottom of the doors, did you cut them in or is that original?

i think the speakers are installed by a previous owner but they are in a factory location with factory covers... i believe.

Really nice Opie! Using the heat shield as a low cost sound deadener?
Question for you - I recently bought a 70 Vert with a 5.0L and I believe AOD in it. It has a B&M shifter but I want to go back to the classic shifter and bezel will it be a direct fit with the AOD?
Thanks for any insight.
Cory

it will fit fine... the shifter may be off just a tad and the lever on the tranny needs to be flipped 180 along with the rod modified. nothing major! i will let ya know when i get mine finished how it all turned out.

the heat shield is just that but with a slight sound barrier as a bonus.
