Default 302 dimensions (quick help please ! )

I need to find out if I can get a long block (on a storage stand) into the back of my truck with a canopy on it.

Anyone got a small block (289 or 302) on an engine stand ?

Could you tell me the distance from the motor mount surface
(where the mount blots to the block) to the top of the rocker cover ?

are you talking about engine stand like you use to work on it like a rotissory (spelling)? or those little ones taht put it close to the ground. I have the first one and it was up to my hips, about 4 feet. do you need the stand? I just sat mine down on its oil pan and supported it from rolling in the back of my truck.
