Default Procomp

How would anyone who has anything of theirs rate ProComp Electronics, i was thinking of getting a temporary HEI Distributor, until i have money for the MSD set up, but for $90 how good of a product can it be?
if you don like it please explain why,

i dont see why it would be bad, i havent heard much, but cant be worse than factory i wouldnt think...

Ive ran one of there billit dists on my 408 for a while and it is a nice product. no probs.

i don't know them but some distributors you can buy have a huge cap which loves interfering with the aircleaner (can't get them past those hipo style 14" housings). and tyhen they interfer with the upper water outlet on intake going to the heater core. So you can turn them onlyh a range of 20 degrees for timing. if that doesn't fit you have to pull the distri and reset.
So be careful. best avoid any massive caps on them.

As for the distributor itself, do you have any part# or description.
sometimes they sell distris that are lacking either mechanical (centrifugal) advance or vacuum advance. you need _both_ on a street driven car

I have a ProComp HEI unit I'll sell for $50. It wouldn't fit with my intake, brand new with coil and pigtail to wire it in. I bought another ProComp dist to use.

It looks like a knock-off of a MSD.

Yes, the problem is interference with the runners on the manifold, not the air cleaner. You'd have no problem.
