Default Weird repair panels...PICS

Hey guys/gals,

I took some pics of my inventory of sheetmetal for my 67 vert project and I noticed something weird with my rockers.
I looked at the rockers on my car and if you look at the seam where they are spotwelded together and they are composed of 3 pieces sandwiched together. Well on the replacements, if you put them together it is 4 pieces.

Here's why....the outer rockers have another panel welded to the inside of it and strange enough it looks to have a seat belt nut welded in place too.
It looks like these are a 65-66 set of complete rockers but then I'm not sure because I dont have my 66's anymore and I really dont remember this detail.

The tags on the rockers say 65-68 so maybe I just need to cut this inner panel off? I dunno? This is the first time I've opened this box of parts.
Pics:

Now if they did send me 65-66 panels, can I use them for the 67 if I cut the inner out?

If not, does anyone want to trade me a 67 skin or a full for what I have?

Does anyone want the inner panel?

Also does anyone know if the outer ocker skins on the 65-66 are the same for the 67-68 and for the convertible too?

i do not think the out rocker skins are the same from 66 to 67, but i may be wrong
i do know each of your pieces are made to go on alone not in conjunction
take the flat piece out of either one and its the same

Thanks Joe!

Hey, NPD finally called me back and said that these are for coupes and fastbacks. They told me that I can indeed use the outer for the convertible but will have to remove the inner flat rocker in order to do so.

Does anyone need inner rocker panels for a 65-68 coupe/fastback? I'm removing them with a spot weld cutter so they wont be damaged.
PM me if interested.

I don't need the panels but I do want to compliment you on the nicely trimmed toenail in pic 2.
