Default How the HELL does the PS pulley come off??

is there any trick on taking off the power steering pulley? I have a new march chrome pulley set changed all the pulleys but cant manage to take off the ps pulley. Even used a large plumbing wrench to prevent it from spinning, a number 9 allen key, a hammer and was bangin for a good 5 min.

i dont want to damage the thing so i turn to the BIBLE of mustangs for answers........anyone?

Could you use a pulley puller?

When I get really angry I whip out the angle grinder and have at it.

They make special puller for it, I borrowed one from my local parts store. Its called a Power Steering Pulley Puller. It is pressed on there very very tight.

The puller I used looked like this one, http://www.drillspot.com/products/43..._Pulley_Puller

Just to reiterate: Power steering pump pulley is not bolted it on. It is essentially a press fit. You need a puller to remove it and to install the new one.

You will also use it go put the pulley back on. Do not try to hammer it on.
