Default mechanical fuel pump installed correctly?

Is there a good way to test if I installed the fuel pump correctly? I am still putting the car back together so I cannot turn it over. When I installed it, I had to push the pump up to get the bolts to align. I thought I got the arm under the eccentric but I am now questioning myself.

its pretty hard to install wrong,, but when you go to put it in, aim the arm downward,..and yes you might have to lift the pump a bit to get bolts in,..that is normal
