1968 Shelby gt500 update...
I have recently sanded down and sprayed the inside of my trunk. I was thinking about the grey trunk paint, but ended up going with chassis black. I went with chassis black because I am planning on "finishing" my trunk (Put full carpet down.) After that I installed the gast tank, trunk lid, lock, and tailights. I also finished welding my roll bar in. I had to mount it on top of the wheel wells because I am intending on putting a rear seat in, but got the wrong roll bar due to me not wanting to pay a $130 shipping fee for the correct one. The "correct" one isn't in a position that was stable anyway. So I had to modify this one to sit on the wheel wells. I had to cut them about 5inches shorter and then regrind the curve of the bar. As you can see my car has a bit of a transmittion fluid leak from when I was pulling the dipstick out to replace it with a new one (opps...) I am intending on also adding on a shift kit for my C4 to help it get a firmer shift. The last thing I did was weld my rear valance to the car... I think it looks better...

man :-) you're nearly done. it's looking great!
I don't see any problem with the wheel wells being a weak spot. I like the angle it's sitting as well for push and pull. should be good. you planning on going to a race track with this?

Nahhh.. i'm not planning on taking it to the track..at least not yet... but I do have Simpson 5 point harness seat bealts that are going to mount there. I can understand why it might be weird to have a rear seat and a roll bar but being a teenager I might need to haul some people around every once in a while so until then i'll just keep the seat down.
