Default Flowmaster 40 Dual Exhaust kit.

I want to change my bone stock 67 (289 2V) from single exhaust to a dual exhaust setup. I have decided to go with Flowmaster 40s. I know they are loud. I was wondering if this kit from Mustangs Unlimited for an entire exhaust system is a good price. Should I go with bigger than 2" pipes? How much on average does it cost in labor to have this installed at a local shop? I know every shop is different, but a ballpark price would be cool. Let me know some opinions.

Is this the same kit, just cheaper?

I would go with at least 2 1/4" pipes!

At least 2 1/4", but buy it from Summit Racing and save mucho dinero!

The Mustang start up in my signature is flowmaster 40s in the 2 1/2" version.

I found the same kit on CJ Pony Parts for $390. Not much difference in price but the description is a more accurate and its definitely for my year Mustang. Will this hook up directly to stock exhaust manifolds or are these for headers?

They are made for headers.

I have 2.5 inch duals with 40's also. I love them and the sound. I paid $300 for everything installed.

Theres my problem. Im not looking to spend that much and go for headers at the time right now. Need some options that will work with stock manifolds.

There is no way I would pay $350 plus shipping for dual exhaust. You then have to do the install.... Just my opinion...
