Default A good way to get the seats and tracks off a 1970 mustang coupe

Hello everyone, I have a 1970 Mustang Coupe in the restoration stages , and the seats in my mustang are not only stuck, but I cant find a way to get them off the tracks and how to get the tracks off, they seem to be attached with the screw/bolt, ect... head on the bottom (underside) of the car and I wanted to know how you might suggest I get them off so I can send the seats away to get re-upholstered.

thanks

The are holes in the floor board with rubber pugs in them. Pull the plug and use a deep 1/2 inch socket to to take them off.

"Sending my Mustang" You mean the seats or the car for restoration?
If you mean the seats.
You will be much better off finding a local shop to put the seat covers on for you.
After all it's just stretching fabric over foam on a metal frame,It doesn't have to be a Mustang shop.
Do a little research to make sure the shop is a good one.
The shipping on sending a full set of seats, now days would be very expensive.
Just buy a kit from a good Mustang supplier and have them put on locally (or yourself,It's not as hard as you think).
This site has some good sponsors try them first, or:
http://www.cal-mustang.com/ California Mustang/Southern California
http://www.mustangsplus.com/xcart/home.php Mustang plus Stockton Ca.
http://www.sacramento-mustang.com/ Sacramento Mustang/Northern California

Since you are a resident I think you have to pay tax on stuff you get from the internet aswell.
If this is the case then you may want to try http://www.mustangdepot.com/ Las Vegas NV.

If you mean the car,Find a shop with a good reputation locally.
Again it doesn't have to be a Mustang only shop unless you are wanting a complete and total restoration back to original, 90% of the body work is not "car specific" just the parts are.
