Default Door hinge pin likes to come out....pics

In the below pictures you can see the pin in the hinge. Over the course of a couple weeks it will slowly work its way up like that. So i grab a hammer and hit it back down but that's not keeping it down.

Any ideas?

Rebuild it. It is cheap and the rebuild kit comes with a new pin and bushings.

If you don't feel like rebuilding the hinges, at least use a drift when you hammer it back down, you're beating the hell out of your door jamb.

The pins should be peened at the bottom to prevent the pin from working out. On my 1970 stang, the factory pins were flattened on the bottom and the bottom of the pin had to be ground off to remove for replacement of the pins and bushings. I just put a small tack weld on mine when I rebuilt them.

The door hinge pins in the red HELP packages come with C clips. At least the one I got to repair the hinge on my truck did. It came with a new pin, bushing, and clip.

yah. if you are as lazy as I am, open up the bottom part so it physically can't come up, or do what Joe67 says or tx65coupe (clip)
proper way to do it is just to replace the parts (rebuild kit as Mark says)

The factory pins they peened but they can wear loose over the years.Your best bet is rebuilding them most rebuild kits use a c clip that holds it in.
