Default '65 Blinkers Stopped Working?

Earlier this afternoon I installed an old stewart warner tach in my 65 Mustang. It is one of the tachs with one wire to the coil and one to the accessory power thing on the back of the ignition switch. When I test drove the car after the tach install, the blinkers would not function. The dash lights don't blink or come on at all, none of the exterior signal lights blink or come on at all, and I cannot hear the normal clicking sound of a blinker. I looked around under the dash, and no wires looked disconnected or damaged, and no burned looking electronics or anything. Anyone have any ideas on what might be causing this? Should I try replacing the turn signal relay, or is there someway to test this relay? All help is greatly appreciated.
