On these pics your looking down through the lifter bore at the cam lobe. Note on the top pic you can only see 1/2 of the lobe and for comparison the bottom pic shows the cam lobe lined up with the lifter bore.
Cylinders 1-4 line up nice like the bottom pic. Cylinders 5-8 line up like the top pic and ate my lifters.

So the spacing is off on half the lobes?

Have you called Comp Cams?

Have you confirmed the grind number on the cam to the part number to see if it is the right cam in the box?

All of the lobes on the 5-8 look like the bottom. All of the lobes on 1-4 look like the top. I did confirm the grind number before installation. However, It was last spring when I put it in. It has just taken me this long to put a few thousand miles on the car.
