68 Shelby front valance.. w/license plate?
OK well this just popped into my head today that the 68 Shelby front lower valance does not have a mounting area for a license plate. New Jersey requires all vehicles to have front and rear plates on the car now-a-days. Since its a classic should I buy/make something like this and mount a plate or should I say screw it.
I really do hate the look of the front plate on the front lower valance and would prefer to leave it off.

It just not will look right on the front of that car. Va has passed a "if the vehicle did'nt come with a tag mounting thingie (certain years), you ain't gotta have it no stinking front tag". Someone in office must like classics.

ive been driving around cali with no front plate for almost a year now, haven't been bothered yet.
cops have better things to do then bitch at ppl for stuff like front plates and window tint, but there is always that one cop who is having a bad day....

You know its cheaper from http://www.cobranda.com/frliplbr.html Here if you have the antique plates you have to run a front plate mine i never put on and its been 3 years now never got pulled over.To me a front plate is useless and extra money they waste.

I too live in NJ and am facing the same dilema, its funny the responses of the people who dont live in NJ. In NJ they will break ***** and do not have anything better to do. Ive been toying with the idea of registering my 68 with QQ classic plates and then you only need one in the back. Im still on the fence.

Yeah we'll have regular plates on it for now.. Think I'll be saying Screw the plates for now. We're also adding a light tint to the front drivers/passengers windows as well as the rear for the UV protection.

I voted for screw the plate.
I agree that its a wast of money to have front plates.
I also think its goofy and most modern cars do not even have provisions for one and require a stupid bracket and holes drilled in the bumper.
