Default Brakes work but pedalis low after M/C change

I finished the disk brake conversion the fronts and added a 74 Maverick master cylinder with my exsisting manual push rod. M/C was bleed and all brakes were bleed twice but the pedal is low enough to trigger the brake light on the dash. The pedal seems to move a long way ,also it sits about a inch lower than before.

Is the pushrod to short or do you think there is still air in the system?

sorry for the long intro but wanted to make sure all info was stated.

Thanks in Advance

An adjustable length rod can be made quick and cheap.
Cut the existing rod and thread the end.
Buy a coupling nut of the same thread type (I think 5/16
Buy a bolt long enough to bring your pedal to height
round off the tip
assemble

If you're tripping the brake warning light, you still have air in the lines somewhere. The brake warning light goes on when you have a pressure imbalance between the front and rear brake systems.

I am going to make the adjustable rod and pressure bleed the entire brake system, and see what happens.
Thanks for the info!
