Does anyone know if one of the Mustang Parts Houses offers hoses for a 5.0 conversion on a 65 Mustang?

I have the reverse rotation water pump. The upper radiator hose is on the passenger side and the thermostat housing faces almost straight up. The lower radiator hose is on the driver side.

I know that stock V8 replacement hoses will not work. I have tried flexible radiator hoses from Advance Auto and they really don't work either. This is especially true of the lower one, which kinks and collapses. I have tried several different lengths and can't make one of these type of hoses work.

I was hoping someone else that had converted to a 5.0 had some part numbers for hoses they used that fit well.

Mustangs unlimited makes one. Part # RMP2 chrome palted steel complete with all clamps. Cost $114.95.
Fluidyne makes a good 4 core aluminum radiator that bolts right in that gives you the correct hose locations also.
Thats what I did.

When I did my swap about 10 years ago, I cut a peice of cardboard in the shape of the hose I needed and the local NAPA store let me walk through the warehouse till I found the right size. I'm sure they have specific hoses for the application now like the guys mentioned above, but man they don't sound cheap. Good luck.

Are you using a stock radiator (you'll want to use the steel crossover Ron Morris Performance hose listed above for $100-ish) or a swap radiator with the hose connection on the driver side? If your radiator is driver side, you can use a '70 lower hose for a 302.

For the upper hose, I am using a LOWER hose from a Bronco II with a MANUAL transmission, I believe '86. You have to trim it a bit shorter, but it fits right up. Below is a pic from when I briefly had the 5.0L serpentine with a carb before I went EFI.

Those would be cool, but I needed the 1.75 ID for my lower hose and that one only has 2 adapters for up to 1.5.

I have a Fluidyne 5.0 conversion radiator that I got from MU.

I found some 13 inch long flex hoses made by Gates at Orielly's. One is 1.5 ID and the other is 1.75 ID. They are garaunteed not to collapse. They fit well.

The Gates part numbers are 25476 and 26501. They are called vulco-flex.

I would have thought that with the swap being so common and the fact that they sell swap radiators, they would have hoses specifically for this conversion.

They do ... they're just listed in the Bronco II and '70 Mustang section.

I will keep these other hoses in mind if/when I need to replace the hoses.

the 70 hose didn't work for me due to the fact that the inlet on the pump and the outlet on the radiator are both 1.75" and the hose is 1.75 on the radiator side and only 1.5 on the pump side.... any suggestions. Im going to try a flex hose today.
