I gotta say, I'm very impressed with your fab skills. I'm sure I'll never do anything like this, but I sure enjoy watching your progress. Good job on the shock tower notch, too!

ohhh that's very close to header.
looks like you unmounted the clutch z-bar. any solution for that?
never mind ... just saw you have an automatic :-]
make sure to point out in the drawing that it won't clear clutch equalizer bar. So either auto or maybe will work with cable operated clutch ...

Loss of turning radius?
Did you lose any turning radius with your installation? Since the guys using the Taurus rack lose around 20% of the original throw, I'm interested in your results. Thanks.

I don't know how much turning radius will be lost. Should be similar to the store bought systems that use a J-car rack. I just figure if it isn't tolerable I will add the Pro Motorsporst bump steer corrector kit. This kit not only corrects bump steer, but it also moves the tie rod closer to the ball joint axis to increase the turning angle of the spindles. Here is a picture:

If i can get the drawings of the brackets i will produce a few sets for free when i make a set for myself. I have everything to here needed to do it and i also have a friend that powder coats so i can get them done in black for free.
I think that the bump steer kit is the way to go regardless.

Hey guys. Sorry I haven't updated this, but there really isn't much to update right now. Summer got busy and I got sidetracked with other projects. I should be getting back to the Mustang in the next month or so. I have to either modify the brackets or make new ones because the steering shaft is too close to the header. Once I do that, I will be able to make some drawings for those interested.
