351 Cleveland pros and cons

the tranny and motor mounts are the same as a 289/302 and 351w

Yes, the bellhousing is the same. The cleve uses the small block bolt pattern, unlike the M motors.

Only con i can think off are efi can be fun to do and the price of a cleveland used is more since ford didn't use them too long.

Guys, before I was smart, I wanted to use a C6 out of a 351C Torino in my Cougar when I had a 302 in it.
Bell housing didn't match...

A genius idea hit me and I went Tremec.

Yeah, the bellhousing from my '69 302 fit my '70 351C perfectly. Are you sure the Cougar didn't have a 351M?

I can't wait to run my Cleveland, I''ve read numerous articles that stated that there isn't a production V8 in the world that has the potential to produce more power/cui. One of the articles was in a Chevy book... probably because of this:

That may have been true 20 years ago, but there are many modern engines that far eclipse the 351C. GM's LS engine family probably has the greatest power producing potential of any engine family out there right now.
