yea I took it differently.

seems like the unit might be bad. When I ran a pertronix in my old 66 I sent them an email and explained to them my problem. They sent me out a new piece for no charge. Maybe try that?

The timing is set at 8 BTDC sith the vac adv off and plugged. I will try e mailing them right now. Thanks for the heads up on that.
