How Hard . . . Rebuild a Secondary on a Holley 4150
I have another prob. with my car. LOL its no the engine! its sounds great and the temp is good. Its the Carbuerator. Turns out the primary is working ok, but the secondary is filling up with gas past the float. So we raised the nut on the top of the secondary, and it is still filling up. So, my exhaust is very smokey and rich. Hopefully, once I figure this thing out! no more smoke and smell!
Thanks for all your help

Are you sure it is not dirt under the float needle? That's very common and will cuase fuel to drip into the secondary. You can also remove the needle without removing the bowl by removing the large screw that locks the float adjuster and then backing the adjuster out to remove the needle. Blow a little LOW pressure air into the opening and ensure it is clean. Then reinstall and adjust the float level. If that doesn't fix it, a rebuild is easy and fast, with gaskets being your biggest challenge.

If you want to lower the float level, you turn the center screw in while holding the nut with a wrench. If you turn it out you raise the float level. Like fakesnakes said, check for dirt or something in the seat.

if all the above doesn't work take off the secondary bowl and inspect if the float maybe has a hole. I've seen that before. For some reaon the holleys have plastic floats in primary and metallic (brass looking) in the secondary. if it has a hole the float will drown. check as well if it's hooked up correctly. Maybe it was sticking.
But try what Mark said first as you can do that without spillig fuel and removing bowl
