Default Any tips on changing wiper motor in 65 coupe?

I'm about to pickup my new wiper motor I ordered for my 65 coupe. I know it's under the dash. Any tips on unbolting the wiper arm linkage? Can I get to that from under the dash? Or do I have to remove the grill on top of the dash to get to? I see from pics that I can do everything else from under the dash.

Thanks!

Do Both. Under the dash and take the grill off. I did mine 2 years ago!

I never messed with the grill before so while driving home from work yesterday I just reached up there and the grill was just sitting in the top of the dash. It came right off. The wiper motor is coming in today so if it's not raining, I'll get to change it.

Thanks!!

We had the wiper motor out of the dash for some reason I can't remember now, it was fairly easy to R&R as far as ANYTHING under the dash goes...

I can't remember anything spectacular about the process, except I think a 1/2" wrench is close to all the tools you will need, and that the front seats are SO EASY to take out of these early Mustangs, I pretty much ALWAYS take them out when working under the dash.

Yep, take out the drivers seat and get a good pillow. There's a lot of wiring and whatnot in the way, but it's pretty straightforward.

never knew that stuff was so expensive. Im going to be taking mine off my car, if I get to it before you get to your install, i'll let ya know how it goes.

I was lo0king at it last weekend, and agree with JMD, it lo0ks super easy to remove it all. Take out at least the passenger seat to make it easy on ya to access it. I was laying on my back on the flo0r messing with dynamat on the firewall. worked well.
