Signature sizes
I've been a little lax on enforcing the signature sizes...and have noticed it's been gradually creeping upward. Please follow the below guidelines, so that the site will run faster and everyone benefits.
thanks

on that note ... and I know this will annoy a good lot here.
Is there any chance (not enforced), I'm just asking nicely, to remove any guns and girls in signatures? at least the one in bikinis...
don't get me wrong. I was paratrooper in the german army, so guns don't upset me much, and I absolutely LOVE to look at nice girls, but I am using this forum at work as well. And I just get hassle and dirty looks when I read a post that was signed with a girl in a bikini or assault rifles ?!

I AGREE 100%.
I know everyone has their freedoms blah blah blah and don't want to be told what to do, but this is an adult tech section and many people like to check the board during work. The stupid signatures with guns, bikinis, and generally obnoxious signatures intended to draw attention or shock are simply not necessary and keep many people from being able to enjoy full use of the site.
Respect your peers and put up a representative sig pic.
thanks

Well, you could always use my sigs as examples of properly sized, tasteful, yet personalized sigs. Classy guy that I am and all. Actually, I pretty much agree on the bikini girls thing. We do have female members here as well and we should not do anything to make them feel uncomfortable. The guns I don't mind.
It really is not that hard to follow the guidelines.

i can partially understand the size limit of sigs, BUT
As for what people post in their sigs as being offensive...
1. in all honesty, you shouldnt be looking at these forums AT WORK in the first place, go do your jobs (unless of course you get paid to surf the internet)
2. secondly, if guns and bikinis offend you...im just gonna stop right there before i hurt anyone's feelings...

Kalli your in ireland right just tell them that the gun are a right :P
“The right of the whole people, old and young, men,
women and boys, and not militia only, to keep and
bear arms of every description, and not such merely as
are used by the militia, shall not be infringed, curtailed,
or broken in upon, in the smallest degree; and
all this for the important end to be attained: the rearing
up and qualifying a well-regulated militia, so vitally
necessary to the security of a free State, originally belonging to our forefathers, trampled under foot by Charles I. and his two wicked
sons and successors, re-established by the revolution
of 1688, conveyed to this land of liberty by the colonists,
and finally incorporated conspicuously in our
own Magna Charta!”
