that thing is tiny :-) when I saw it on first picture I thought it would be the size of a router or something.
Fits perfect where you have it. Definetly not an eyesore.
I'd say you'll have _plenty_ of fun with that

I got some actual data from it just a few minutes ago. A/F ratio at cruise at about 2000 rpm was near 12.5.

Looking over an edelbrock manual (which is the same thing as the carter AFB 600 I have) ideal ratio should be near 14.3 to 14.8 at part throttle cruise for 2000 rpm.

12.5 is closer to wot at 2000 rpm...

ya'll know where this is going right?

For those of you who have experience with stuff like this. The manual said to place the 02 sensor at least 24" back from the block. I placed mine within reason to that limit... The sensor is installed inline with the door hinge..so if you find the door hinge and follow that same line to the exhaust pipe that's were the sensor is installed. I think that should be fine...Right???

Thanks

Hi Gun,

door hinge sounds fine. just make sure to not mount that thing in 6'oclock position.
you need to be anywhere between 9 and 3 (upper half of pipe). If you have long tube headers the collector would be a nice spot I'd say.

Anyway,
how are you getting on?made improvements? Don' know about the carter but are there tuning kits available as well for leaning out cruise?
I'm no expert but I'd fully agree to just a tad rich at cruise should be fine as you mention just below 14.7

Any fun?

Hey

Been having fun with the Plx and hopefully making fuel delivery improvements at the same time

I found that :

1) at WOT fuel mix is around 12 ish which is acceptable
2) Idle was rich about 12 and now sits about 13.5 after adj
3) part throttle no load cruise at 2000 to 3000 rpm was pretty rich about 12.5. So I switched meter rod from 7147 to 7347. this adds .002 inch to the cruise section of the rod to lean the mix by filling up more space in the jet yet does nothing to the power side. After doing this mix went from 12.5 -13 ish to 14 ish so its pretty close now sometimes its at 15.3 and sometimes its at 13.5 during cruise but tends to hang around the 14 range... A 7447 would be perfect but they dont make one of course I would have to get a 7547 and I think that would be too lean. I would rather be a bit rich than a bit lean I think....

Also got the a-pillar gauge and pods installed and finally took some pics.

ah so you're still tinkering with it. isn't it nice to get a proper reading and actually know what you're doing. mine is still in customs. they seem to be sitting on it.
Did you get a recording from a WOT run so you can check on accell pump, secondary etc ?
any before/after graphs you can share?

cool. really interested to see. I guess if you do a recorded run you get a way better info than staring at the a/f gauge. especially with such quick changes as in accell pump squirt and secondaries opening

Thanks I made it all by myself out of toilet paper, balsa wood, bondo.

I have a mech adv dizzy...That aside what would I look for when adjusting timing curve and the rest of the stuff you mentioned?

Thanks
