Default quick easy q about 2v to 4v swap

went with a weiand action + and holley street avenger (570cfm). setup should be pretty straight forward....yes i know i should change the cam but im broke. Is their any connected systems i need to worry about such as timing. for some reason im feeling like the timing is going to need to be retarded/advanced a couple degrees. i was looking at the specs for the GT's and it gives a 12B degree setting for it while regular c codes are 6B.

Besides timing....anything else i need to look at, maybe a higher fuel pump or something? Right now its stock minus hookers and flame thrower coil.

Just wondering

While you may want to tinker with the timing, no other changes are needed. The change in timing was performance oriented, you could just as easily do it to a 2V.

you dont need or have to change the cam either. Who owns the car? you do so do what you want with it.

True. The 289 2V and 289 4V had the same cam.
