dual bowl master cylinder conversion

dual bowl master cylinder conversion
I have a 1966 convertible, completely stock, V8, C4 and stock disc brakes. However, as with stock disc brakes the master cylinder is a single bowl. I want to upgrade, at the cost of originality, to a dual bowl for safety's sake. I have done many other brake jobs on other cars and replacing and bleeding master cylinders and brake stuff is relatively easy. But, every car has its quirks. Which master cylinder do I buy? I know one from a '67 has a dual bow. Is that the correct one to buy? Who is a good parts vendor to buy from? I believe I need an adjustable brake pedal pushrod, is that right? What about the brake lines? I assume I will need new ones. Does anyone sell them pre-bent for this? Is there anyone else out there who has done this before with any words of wisdom before I start? I'd appreciate advice from anyone who has learned the hard way.

RE: dual bowl master cylinder conversion
When I did both of my 65's, I used the 67 master cylinder, stock lines, auto Zone sells the adapters to match up the lines to the cylinder. You can get new brake lines from National Parts Depot. I used the rod from the single bowl master cylinder. I also installed a propotioning valve from Jegs to limit the pressure to the rear. The master cylinder I got from Advanced Auto new $45.00
