Default Sequence for removing head bolts same for I6 and V8?

The head looks very similar with 5 bolts on the top of the engine and 5 bolts under the valve cover.

I have a manual that says the sequence for removing the bolts on the V8 (which you essentially go from the inside out in a specific order). Will this work for my I6 head?

Yeah, removing them who cares. Just leave the top center one for last.

Torque sequence always starts in the center and goes in a criss-cross pattern toward the ends.

Do you have the factory service manual? This is clearly illustrated, and I highly recommend the book.

I have the manual for 1964-1973 Mustangs, but it covers V8s only, and it clearly tells me to start from the middle and go out. The V8 head has the same (or very similar) bolt pattern as my I6. That's why I was wondering if it would be the same sequence for both the V8 and I6 heads.

Do I need to remove the rocker arms and push-rods to take off the head? If so, is there any adjusting to do (like will I have problems putting them back on correctly?)
