Default Stalling when turning fast

I have a 1965 Mustang Coupe with the straight 6 200. The car runs good when I am going straight or not doing a quick turn. Here in Michigan we have whats called a Michigan U turn. If you are from Michigan you know what I mean. If I do the turnaround too quickly the car stalls out. Of course I can go slower, but there is still an issue that needs to be fixed. If anyone has an idea, please let me know.

I'm not sure how you adjust the carb float level on that engine, but that sure sounds like the issue.

Yeah, I remember those U-turns. Takes some getting used to but traffic flows better.

It sounds like your float is too low to me too.

To adjust the float you have to pull the top cover off the carb and bend the float arm slightly up.

I heard this has always been an issue with 1bbl carbs. I also have an I6, but mine runs rough at idle.

You may not getting enough fuel preassure to keep the bowl full , so it spills to the side when turning at higher speeds, and chock out. Try installing a electric fuel pump and bypass your mech. pump. You can also get a fuel regulator and try some different settings untill it works for you.
