Default Canadian Import

Anyone ever import any car from Canada? Is it difficut? I am looking at an another Mustang but it happens to be in Canada.

I was told from the current owner "This car was originaly a U.S. car and because of this it will cost you nothing to import it back into the States, I've confirmed this with the U.S. Customs and Border Protection."

My question, Is this true?

probably not, best bet is to call customs. Thats what I did importing into canada from the states. or if you go online they should have all the forms for you. I know exporting from the US you have to submit forms 2 or 3 days prior by fax, call to confirm they got them, and cannot export it until they clear the forms, then you import into canada (in my case) and pay duty. Should be more or less the same
