Mini tub pics (groho)
I was only able to find one pic of the mini tubs before I painted POR 15 and added sound deadener. But you get the idea of what is done. I have some good meats on there now with some room to go at least another inch. Let me know what help you need and I can go out and take more pics.

I took the upholsery off and cut off a bar that goes around the outside of the frame for the top part. the bottom I had to narrow the backside a touch. only took bout 2 hours to do that.

Dan, thanks much! My confusion is with re-attaching the lower wheel house as you move it inward, closer to the subframe. I'd like to put the wheel house right up against the subframe. Would I spot weld the inner wheel house to the sub frame or fold a lip and spot weld inside the trunk? Maintaining structural integrity is my concern.

Go about another 1/2 inch to an inch inward of the frame to allow for a little more suspension travel. when one side of the rear is under a lot of load the top of the tire will point more inward than the middle. does that make sense? I spot welded the frame back up to the floor pan and spot welded the inner wheel well to the floor pan. Filled all the welds in till I couldnt stand it any more then filled in with a sealer.
66fastbk--tires are 285 but I do have room to go larger
