No Clue maybe something from the factory? Like some guy was feeling artistic the day they made your car Stranger things have happened at the Ford plant I promise
Maybe that part is from a junkyard and someone thought they'd be cute by drawing a mustang on it as a reminder. (although I still don't see the mustang

Na, just no ones every seen it, and its a Friday before a 3 day weekend so everyones in a good jokin around mood and being goofy. Plus the admin is gone so..its like when your parents are gone and your 10 years old, ya start goofin off 
I would still guess its one of those two things I quoted. If you really really are worried about it, maybe try Emailing ford direct if no one has the answer on here in a few days

Dude... People at Ford goof off all the time... Probably what you have there.
For instance, here is what I found on the bottom of my crate engine from Ford Racing:
Lighten up a bit. People were joking around, not picking on you directly

Do you have any better pics of the alledged "scratches"? Or can you draw or outline what it is you are trying to point out? In all seriousness I've looked at the first pic 20 times hoping I could help you out, but the only thing I can make out is the "S".
