Default Headers on a big block

Got a 67 GTA Fastback that I am debating putting headers on as one of my exhaust manifold is cracked. I'm looking at the FPA Headers as I have heard nothing but good things about them. My question is on the best way to install them. Can I jack up the motor one side at a time and slip them in from the top or bottom, or will I need to pull the heads, drop the header in and reinstall? Either way it's going to be a pain, just want to minimize the pain as much as possible.

Being an FE, you'll most likely have to bring them in from the bottom. If you can get the car up on ramps or jack stands, that's probably the best way to do it.

I've seen several pics of FPA headers installed and talked to several owners. 99% are very happy with FPA's product. The only exception was one customer who had an uncommon hydraulic clutch setup that wasn't communicated to (or asked about by) FPA properly. Make sure to give them accurate information when ordering and you'll be happy with what you get.

Yes, it was communicated! There is only one way to install a slave cylinder for the conversion on a toploader.

McLeod makes a hydraulic setup that I'm running, where the whole TOB/Slave is a slip on unit over the input shaft bearing retainer. The whole thing is inside the bellhousing, so the only thing sticking out is the flex line, which you can route wherever you need it.

Sorry, forgot it was a toploader conversion. What ended up happening with that, anyway?
