Not sure, I just bought new Classic Insurance for my 67 and the one of the stipulations for mine was you needed to be over 28. Every company is different.

Remember Classic insurance is really for collectors not daily drivers. Some highlighted areas in my policy are the following: (the coupe is insured for 20k)

Can only drive Saturday and Sundays.

No more then 1000 Miles a Weekend

Car must be in a Locked Garage

Car Needs to be covered

Can not leave the car un-attended in a parking lot

Can not Drive in rain or snow

Policy is Canceled in a speeding ticket is issued for more then 30 mph over the posted limit

Hagerty but you have to keep the car in a garage, it can't stay outside. That was the whole reason we didn't go with them, we don't have garage space for my coupe.

Hagerty is about the only classic car insurance company that will insure a person under 25.

othere then them its your regular insurance provider but youll get screwed on the premium.

im 24 and talked direct to hagarty in MI as my local rep was literally zero help.

insuring the car for $20k was $400 per year.

no mileage limit

no weather limit

must be in a locked garage (they said very few times they will allow a community style garage like in a condo building)

no attendance clause so you can stop at a restaraunt or store and run in although you are not supposed to use the car to run errands per se.

they cut you a check for the insured value not what they think its worth at time of wreck

you have to pass their little application, plus send in at least 1 picture of the vehicle. pending the value you want to insure it for you have to provide an appraisal showing its worth that much

last i knew they would let you increase the value 3% per year without a new appraisal.

they even stated that i could insure the car in 1 state but store it in another no issues (i live in illinois but the car is typically parked in iowa)

edit:

oh and nationwide is my reg. provider and they wanted to charge me $500/6mo which is what i pay for my DD lol

My parents pay under $40 a month for full coverage on my 67. If we ever get our other garage it will be about $200 a year with hagerty. I checked and once I turn 18 and I get the mustang it will cost me about $415 a year.
