Default 1967 Mustang

Hello, im new, i signed up just for some more information, dont think me as stupid. I am 17 and my mother has a beautiful Cherry Red 67, I want to have flowmasters some day on it, i hear its FM 40s, but i dont know much about this. The car is basically mine, and i want to know what i should do and how much it is for this loud upgrade. It is all fully stock, 289 V8

Thanks guys.

Thank you, i appreciate, but i do want to keep it stock, its just all the stangs i see have flowmasters, it just sounds great. It is a sexy car, especially when you see it in person, and with Fmasters it would sound great, all the youtube vids i see with it or amazing.

I have flowmaster 40's and have to say I love the sound. Some people don't like how loud it is inside the car but I still love them.
Here is a youtube video I have
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HlXtj...e=channel_page

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MUj64...e=channel_page
Both have the sound of a 289 2 barrell with 40's no other mods.

Thanks I got mine done at triple A muffler shop the mufflers were 2 something and then installation it was a total of 400. But mine is different from the others because I don't have an H or X pipe it just runs straight out the back with the chambers in the middle.

haha as i say im new, i dont know what an x pip is, i assume thats when they cross, and chambers is the box like object, so you got that for around 500?

It's ok i'm still learning new stuff too i'm 17 as well. Ya the X and H pipe connects the exhaust under the car they either cross or horizontally across mine is just about straight pipes with the chambers in the middle. The whole set up was 400.00 I think 250 for the exhaust kit and 150 for installation.

im a bit jealous, i got my 67 when i was 18, thats been a few years ago. you guys are lucky, having the internet and forums to ask all the mechanical questions that inevitable come with old cars. it it didnt work, beat it with a hammer.
