Default flush mounted windows progress

As some of the older posters know I was thinking about flush mounting my front and rear windows. Well the wife finally gave me some garage time so I have the rear window mocked and partially welded in. With luck she will let me work on it tomorrow and I can try to weld in the rear the rest of the way.
I had to move the window out 3/8 and close the opening around the window 3/16 on all four sides to keep the window reveal the same. I should have gone with quarter but I think after priming and base coat clear coat I will be very close to where I want to be. The hardest part was bending the 3/16 X 3/4 flat bar to follow the exact contour of the window. Allot of hammering and checking with the glass to get it right. The rubber moulding is what will be seen when the window is installed

Tony, GREAT job!!!!! I thought about doing it a few years ago but figured it was part of my mid-life crisis playing with my head. That back pic shows exactly how great it'll look! Keep us updated! Thanks

Thanks. I don't know about a mid life crisis for me. I just dont like the looks of the trim around the window. I am trying to do a few subtle changes to clean up the flow of the car.

Tony-What do you plan on doing with all the trim around the driver and passenger side?

are you talking about the side windows? Haven't figured that out yet but I may take them in and have them powder coated black. The gutters have been cut off when i replaced the roof. I am trying to have the only chrom on the exterior of the car to be the wheels and the grill.
One area I am in need of trim is the inside of the front and rear window. Since I moved the windows out 3/8 I now have to cover that space. The headliner is no longer going to go under the windows so I will have to figure a way to hold it in place tight but that is not that hard to do. If you all have any suggestions for trim I am all ears. If not I have a few ideas in mind to make my own.
