Exclamation Need a Favor

i have a 65 hardtop and iam replacing the fenderaprons, i was wondering if anyone had the measurements from were the hood springs bolt onto the fenderapron. inside to inside would be great thanks!

you're talking about the hood hinge mounting surface on the inside of the engine bay right?

I measure 40" +- .35" from one hinge mount surface to the other (does not include thickness of hinge)

I measure about 39" from bottom inside bolt to bottom inside bolt

well no its closer than that... real close to 40 if you measure apron to apron with the hinge off the car.

Real close the 39 if you have the hinge install and measure bolt head to bolt head between hinges.

How close does it have to be accuracy wise? why do you need this number?

Yeah, cause my number wasn't very accurate since it was a little hard to measure with the heater hoses in the way

my car was totaled in the front..all fenderaprons and shocktowers have to be replaced and i need a starting measurement.
