Do you have a trac loc rear end? (Posi)

If so have you changed the fluid recently?

Negative, I have a gear-based True Trac, not the clutch pack Trac Loc. So I don't have to worry about friction modifier. Good idea though...

You need to torque the wheel bearing retaining nut correctly. You MUST have the proper bearing preload. If they're retorqued correctly,t hen you might want to pull the hub and check it for roundness/trueness. It could be a warped hub. Where the wheels put on with an impact wrench since the swap? That's what typically warps hubs/rotors. Also, are you sure the wheels are straight? Are all your ball joints good?

Hope that was helpful somehow.
Considering the Vette is independent suspension with tons more parts and u-joints, the chance of any relation between the 2 is slim EXCEPT... This registered a potential problem with me. IF the Mustang in question has a limited slip rear end, there is a slight possibility of clutches binding on turns, even if only one direction. Limited slip additives usually clear these up before you get out of the driveway. It's a SLIM chance, but still a chance.

I didn't see this before my previous post. If ALL else fails I'd do this as a last resort - swap the rear tires side to side. If the problems changes to the other direction it's a gear problem inside the locker.

Otherwise, backing off the wheel bearings 1/2 turn is too much. I doubt it's your problem, but normally you snug the bearings LIGHTLY then back off to the first slot that allows a cotterkey to fit.

Thanks for the advice. I'm not understanding how changing the rear tires side to side will swap the vibe to the other side showing a locker problem? Can you educate me please?
