69 Mach 1 Wheel Question - I want to go big
Hey all this is my first post in the Classic Mustangs forum. I've got two Mustangs, a 5.0 and the Mach 1. I'm finally getting around to working on the Mach 1 again and it needs tires BAD, so I'm going to change the rims too. I want to go for a true old-school hot rod look, like a Boulevard cruiser back in the 60's with the big tires in the back and jacked up. I'd like to go with at least a 275 tire in the back on a 15" rim. I've got 235's on all the way around right now. I've seen the tire and rim charts on this site and so far I've not found anything that goes much bigger than 245's. I know I'm going to need a lot of backspacing / offset on the back for sure but how much you think? What rim width would work for a 275 tire? I'm thinking maybe 10 inch. The fronts I'm probably going to go with a 15x7 and 225 or 235 tire. Thanks!

That would be sweet. I cant wait to see how it looks. Sorry, I don't have any info to help you though.
To raise the back you will have to use extended shackles if you can't get springs that raise it up enough.
