Unhappy PLEASE HELP..my 1973 Mustanng mach1 429 Cj starts at wrong time

I put a 429 cobra jet in my 1973 mustang mach1 fastback and i kept the orignal 73 wirring harness.. i need some help knowing which wire goes where on the solenoid and what wire goes on the starter solenoid.. My problem is when i turn the key to the on position the motor turns over when its sopost to turn over on the crank position.. If u kno what my problem could be PLEASE tell me.. Thanks

Hiya,

the most simple thing is that you have swapped the 2 cables on the 'I' and 'S' port on the selonoid.

when the one on 'S' get's 12Vplus, the starter will turn
the one on the 'I' port is usually hooked to the coil+

So if you have 'S' and 'I' swapped the 'S' port will get 12V directly from coil as soon as you turn on ignition

hope I make sense here.
'S' port should be connected to neutral safety switch in autos. or directly to inition switch start position on manual.
'I' port should connect to coil+
Left big terminal (the one on the 'S' side) goees straight to battery
Right big terminal to starter

As to your question, there's a starter selonoid post today as well with all the wiring diagram

i switched those to wires i think their red/blue and red/light green one of those have 0 volts when igniton is in the off position but when i turn it to the on position it gets 12volts but the other wire idk what volt it needs and i think its going to ground. but i forgot to say above that ive got to wires green and white coming from the starter solenoid and i dont know where those go? thanks alot for helping me out
