Default Noise coming from the rear of car

First off I have a 67 Mustang Coupe with a 289 auto. Question is....I have this noise coming from the rear of the car, like when I pull on to an uneven road or driveway. Sounds something like squeek/flex sound. When the car is parked I have pushed down on the rear bumper and I hear it a little....then lifting up I'll here it again. Could this be the shocks or the leaf springs? I took out the rear sway bar thinking the bushing were causing this...but it is still doing it. I also sprayed wd40 on the leaf-springs which have done nothing to stop these noises! I also took out the exuahst from headers back and the mufflers welded back on the reducers(just temp) and this has not stopped the squeeking... This is driving me crazy....any help would be much appreciated :-)

Its either the leaf spring or shock. Use some silicone spray on the leaf springs. Don't forget to spray the rubber bushings too. Have a feeling it is the rear shackle making the noise so spray the bushings there on the top and bottom. Good luck

Best bet is to get a friend (a big one would help) to bounce on the rear of the car while you lay underneath and try to pinpoint the source of the noise.

Like TexasAxMan said, even 3 or 4 guys so 2 on the ground at each side and a couple pushing.

Please don't use any more WD-40 on the bushings. WD-40 eats rubber.

Thanks Tad, I forgot to say that but at least I told him about the silicone spray...
