I never said you were lying. It just seems like too much of a stretch. I have known alot of people with I6 Mustangs and still know some. Most of them ever got better than about 20 mpg and a couple got close to 25. I just don't see how it can get 30. The little fox body LX Mustangs with the EFI 2.3 4 cylinder and overdrive don't even get 30 mpg. I had one and it got 25 or so.

I'm sure on a certain trip for some reason or another the car may have been running at its best due to weather / climate conditions etc. Then I suppose it could have gotten better fuel economy driving at 50 mph and all highway. Under most conditions though I just don't see it happening.
